LossMitPro Lawsuit Settled, Domain Sold, Book Rights Assigned
LossMitPro and I have settled the lawsuit and I sold the blog and I assigned my right to my foreclosure book. We’ll talk about it on tonight’s talkcast at 5PM Pacific. (Swing by Capital Garage Cafe if you’re in Sac and say hi). Here are some details:
LossMitPro and I worked out our issues
LossMitPro sued me for defamation of his name. He doesn’t mind his screen name used but I knew that he always wanted his real name to stay off the web. Of course, I was pissed at some of the stuff he was doing so I was ready to defend myself through my blog and in the courts…
Then when we went to court on Tuesday and had the hearing rescheduled we decided to go to lunch and had another one of those looong talks. Now, regardless of what I said before about him and his aggressive remarks toward me, I am convinced LossMitPro is not such a bad guy. His intentions are good.
I just don’t agree with some of his tactics, like using the legal system the way he did, taking my copyrighted stuff and plastering it all over the internet, amongst other things. I realized part of it was due to being caught up in the “drama” of this whole story. Aren’t we all guilty of that? But I won’t put words in his mouth and let him share his side tonight.
Anyway, once we got the the bottom of it, he has been very reasonable with me. Face-to-face meetings go a long way. So I’m willing to look past all the hard feelings.
Apology to LossMitPro
I want to publicly appologize to LossMitPro for exposing his real name and his business name on this blog and talking about him in a negative / slanted light.
Now about the settlement… We both mutually agreed to stop throwing dirt around on there internet about each other. And also….
I agreed to compensate LossMitPro in the following way:
- Pay him $1,572.50 towards his expenses
- Assign my rights to the joint venture agreement with my publisher (my foreclosure book)
- In order to make the above payment I must sell the blog, with the rest of the proceeds going to my wife
Expenses
Regardless of whether the lawsuit was frivolous or not, LossMitPro spent time and money on it. Now that I had a change of heart and I know his intentions were good, I feel it’s fair for him to get compensated. His real name has been exposed on the internet in a negative light and it costs him business.
Aside from that, LossMitPro has spend a good amount of time helping my wife professionally (directly and indirectly) to assist her with her debt situation (while I was in Australia). He did this without any kind of compensation.
Also LossMitPro already started helping me with my loans before we had a falling out. While he offered to do it pro bono, he still was expecting me to perform certain things like cooperate with him. We also talked about doing some things together in the future with foreclosure leads from the blog, etc. Those things never materialized because of flakiness on my part.
The Sale of this Domain
Since I don’t have money, I agree to sell the blog and pay LossMitPro out of the proceeds. I already wanted to sell the blog before so this all came together with perfect timing. However, the lawsuit is not the reason I decided to sell the blog. LossMitPro can verify it. I was already thinking of making this decision because I wanted to do the right thing by my wife. I had this intention BEFORE we decided to settle.
The blog was sold for $20,000 upfront and 50% of revenue for a year.
Again, more good timing. Over a matter of about a day or so, somebody offered to buy the blog and after looking into it I decided to go for it.
While I received higher offers, I felt the most comfortable with this buyer and his future intentions with the blog. I started to shop the deal a little bit thinking I may get a better offer. But then after some thinking and listening to good advice I chose not to chase the “shiny object” and take this great offer while it’s there.
I’m hoping we’ll hear from the buyer tonight and he chooses to reveal his identity.
Assigning my Book Rights
The settlement also called for an assignment of my ownership of the book rights. That is the book about my foreclosure story that I’ve been talking about for months. It was going to come out this month but not anymore.
That’s because I decided NOT to continue with the book for the same reason I’m shutting down the blog - respect my wife’s and stop all the damage that the negative publicity is bringing to my family. I was kind of blind to it before and thought making money my way was gonna solve everything. I was wrong and I feel really bad about the whole thing.
Hear more in 2 hours…
That’s all the info I can share right now. I’m hoping to hear tonight from LossMitPro and the blog buyer and they can give you more juicy details. If you miss tonight’s show you can always download the podcast later.
Crazy turn of events! Good things are coming!!

Wow Casey, you’re moving fast.
I hope everything works out for you. An $18,000 bonus in your pocket can’t hurt too bad.
I wish you the best in your next adventure: a solid marriage.
Best Wishes.
One Man. One Year. $100,000 online. How’s he doing it?

By the way, your “security words” for posting comments are great. How did you get it to use custom words?
July 12th, 2007 at 3:13 pm
FIRST! Finally! Good Luck, man.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:14 pm
BTW… What happened with the 2Legit2Quit “Ladies” and your contract? Does this affect the book?
July 12th, 2007 at 3:15 pm
Personally I think Mittens is a jerk for taking money from you, but I guess that’s the way the cookie crumbles. I wish I could listen tonight but I’ll have to hear it later. Congrats on the sale and I hope the next chapter of your life works out better than the last.
Just stay away from the gurus!!
July 12th, 2007 at 3:16 pm
congrats on selling the blog casey. i knew you could do it
July 12th, 2007 at 3:19 pm
Casey,
Best of luck to you, kid. Glad to hear your comeback is (finally) on the right track.
It’s been a long road, but you will come out stronger at the other end of this experience.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:23 pm
Sounds like a “win-win” for everyone involved.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:24 pm
Why are you apologizing to that bully? Why did you settle with him at all?
There’s a person on the messageboards that is saying that he is the person that called you and claimed to be an FBI agent.
You got trolled.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:26 pm
“Good things are coming!! ”
Where does that fit in with the FBI investigation you, massive ammounts of debt, and a completely druined credit score?
July 12th, 2007 at 3:26 pm
oh how cute, you are all friends again.
I see Mark doesn’t really mind you making a profit off of your crimes, especially if it means money in his pocket.
Good things are coming.. Thats what happens when your enablers step in, everyone puts the blame on Marty and the three musketeers are back.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:27 pm
And another thing: That glorified bill collector made you give him your RIGHTS TO YOUR OWN BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE?
What IS WRONG WITH YOU????? It’s not like you’re going to really save your marriage with any of this.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:28 pm
Casey,
Glad to here things are working out!!!
July 12th, 2007 at 3:29 pm
“That’s because I decided NOT to continue with the book for the same reason I’m shutting down the blog.”
I don’t understand. If you assign LMP your rights, doesn’t he have the all rights over the book? If LMP agreed to kill the book project, why did he want your rights assigned to him?
July 12th, 2007 at 3:31 pm
Casey,
Who did you assign your rights to the book to? LossMitPro? The book is not being written now, right? Did he just not want it to be published? Is your publisher going to sue you over this?
I’m not a Haterz(tm) — just curious.
–Kevin
July 12th, 2007 at 3:31 pm
I would hold onto 33% of that amount for the IRS. That 20,000 will count as income that you will have to report to the IRS.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:35 pm
I’m glad you’ve settled with LossMitPro and that you are (have?) sold the domain.
I don’t however, think you will rebuild your relationships until you look in the mirror. I know you think the “Haters” were horrible, etc… but I think you need to ask yourself a few questions:
why did you allow your wife to drop out of school and start cleaning houses, yet you were unwilling to even get a job at McDs to help bring in some stability.
Why did you flake on your “contracts” with your wife two or so months ago.
Why did you leave the country, giving her essentially NO NOTICE and ignoring her requests and needs, then expect her to welcome you back with open arms whenever you wanted to come home.
Deep down inside, you are a VERY self-centered person, your needs and wants are far more important to you than anyone you could hurt on the way. Until you correct this severe character flaw, you will never have a positive and healthy relationship with another person.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:44 pm
So you were a scammer at 14, pulling the old Send a Dollar to the People On This List game. Now it clicks. Yeah suuuuuure you sold your site. What a crock. I hope some law enforcement agency makes an example of you.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:46 pm
LossMitPro is a two-faced, contemptible lowlife and it infuriates me that bottom-feeders like him end up profiting from this.
Is letting him take a slice of your pie worth it? Is she even speaking to you?
July 12th, 2007 at 3:48 pm
Another good choice Casey. I’ve known of LMP for several years and he really is a stand up guy and he knows his stuff. You couldn’t have a better person working with you on the debt mess.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:49 pm
It is the first correct step you have made in some time. Keep it up son!
July 12th, 2007 at 3:56 pm
Hey Casey,
I have followed your story from the start but stayed quietly in the shadows.
I want to say, best of luck, I will miss you and will wonder how you are making out.
I know one thing for sure, you are going to land hard on your feet big time and be a rich man some day.
You have a inner light quality, call it the “it” factor, who knows but all I know is you have it big time.
Don’t let others ever get you down. Keep moving ahead and more than anything keep smiling kido, things are going to get better and better for you.
I hope all works out for you and your marriage. If she loves you she will stay and work things out.
By the looks of things it appears you have finally made the right decision, close this blog and work on your life and family.
Best of luck and big hugs to you.
Christine

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that you sold to your buddy Nigel. It’ll at least be interesting to see if he can keep the site’s entertainment value up. He’ll certainly be starting with a huge audience.
Now’s a very good time to be buying Gammon Lake Resources (GRS), Casey. Hugely undervalued mid-tier gold producer…. Believe it or not, there aren’t many of those.
My track record has been good so far. It’ll be good this time too.
Good luck to you.
July 12th, 2007 at 4:26 pm
Casey,
Seriously consider having 1 more begathon before you close down the site. Now that you are doing the right thing, I’d consider giving you some money to help you get your life back on track. I’m sure others would consider doing the same. Kind of a parting gift.

You should get a job cleaning houses.
It will teach you humility in the biblical sense.
Also your wife will respect you more, since she did this, she might think you think you are better than her.
And take a vow of silence for 1 full year. (ok 30 days?)
For again, to be closer to your godz.
Please start another blog about something like ‘IamAnewMan.com’
July 12th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
Again, best of luck, bro
July 12th, 2007 at 4:38 pm
I would like to know how to put custom security words on my blog.
I hope it all works out for you. It seems just a little too much like a hoax. It is all too neat and too tight.
April
July 12th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Wow, Casey, you’re showing a lot of humility here. I sincerely hope that you fully believe this plan is the best for you and your family, and that you’re not simply trying to appease or silence your critics.
If you’re really behind this new strategy, great. If you’re unsure or not fully confident in it, then I suggest you continue to evaluate your situation.
July 12th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
wow… this is all too bad. I sounds like LMP took advantage of a kid who could not afford to defend himself. you say that his intentions are good.. BS… he scared you into giving in to him.
are you able to start another blog or did you waive that to him as well? I guess I dig it if your wife does not want you to.
I still say… LMP is a bully… nay, just a jerk, and it is really a shame to see this saga end.
Why the HELL would you give him your book rights? you know he is on the other blog bragging about how he showed you
July 12th, 2007 at 4:46 pm
Casey-this is terrible. You gave away the rights to YOUR life’s story? You sold the blog for 20k when you had higher offers?
I am a supporter of yours, check out my past posts, but I think you’ve been had. You really, really really really need to have someone (an attorney) looking over any agreements you sign before you sign them.
Hope it’s not too late…
Best wishes.
July 12th, 2007 at 4:50 pm
About time. Now you can fade into obscurity along with the rest of the one-time net celebrities and the rest of us can get on with our lives. I just wish you hadn’t hurt so many people - like G - before you made your exit.
Maybe you and Mahir can do lunch!
July 12th, 2007 at 5:00 pm
All give and no take. You should write “The Idiot’s Guide to Negotiation.”
July 12th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
So you BLASTED Mark’s name all over the place in your blog and now you have to EAT YOUR WORDS.
Yet another low for Casey - How low can you go?
Did you bend over too?
July 12th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
Wow, what a great deal you got! 20 000$ for a blog that is making you 4000$ a month! That was pretty stupid, as you could make more than twice that in a year. The PV of your blog, assuming 0 growth and interest rate of 15% (a year, not a month;) ) would be at least 320 000$. Talk about killing the chicken that lays the golden eggs.
P.S. I really think that that guy LossMitPro is a real loser. You should have told him off. My guess is that his ‘lawsuit’ wasn’t going anywhere, so he decided to make up with you. You should not give him a dime.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:11 pm
I hope you didn’t sign a non-compete on the blog sale. If you didn’t, you can start-up a fresh one and the masses will follow you. This is all about Casey Serin.
One other thing, I hope you use a bona fide escrow service to handle the handing over the keys to the domain. You’d hate to find out that you got a rubber check after the buyer took control.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:13 pm
prick eat s*** and fart you chee
July 12th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
Casey,
Following you for a while and yes, you did some stupid things but the most stupid to date has got to be letting these 2 guys hose you with one big enough for an elephant to feel. Are you a s***** ?
They both speak to you and do things to you treating you like dung and then you give and I do mean GIVE one of them the blog and the other your book rights.
Especially that LossMitPro. I hate educated lowlife. Defamation??? My God! He really thinks he is all that?
Good intentions? How in God’s name can you even think that. I know you are an eternal optimist but this is really over the top.
I tell you this, I will not buy a copy of the book nor will I have anything to do with the website and you have no idea how many others feel that way.
Good luck to you, Casey. I will be thinking about you out there in jobville.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
Casey, I hope your able to fundemently change. I dont hate you. I feel sorry for what you have become. It bothers me that you are grieving over a internet blog. This blog is nothing .Your family and friends are what is important.
I fond your email to be an alful lot like what my kids used to do when they got caught doing something wrong. They were sorry that they were going to suffer consequences, not truely sorry for what they had done.
Something is missing in your personality, only God can change that. You dont have the ability to feel empathy for the pain of others. This is not normal, it is a very serious personality defect. Somehow someway that has to change for you. Otherwise your going to end up one very empty unhappy man, who will continue to cause untold grief and pain to anyone who makes the mistake of caring for you.
Go to your Pastor, do everything he asks of you. Get on your knees and beg for a heart that cares for others before yourself. The riches that give you happiness are not found in money or things. Happiness is found in a heart that loves others and puts them before themselves.
I have not aquired the riches you have been chasing. But I wouldnt change places with the likes of Donald Trump. I am happy, content and at peace. I have a family that I can do things for and a job that gives me the opprotunity to serve others. Seek to learn the real secret of life that Jesus taught. He was God almighty yet his life and death was in SERVICE to others. Please learn that one thing. you will find what you have been chasing after if you can learn that one lesson.
I really hope im wrong and you are changing. Id like nothing more than to hear about you in a few years because your doing something worthwhile for others.
I will be praying for you, not that you walk away from all this unscathed but that God can use the consequences your facing to soften your heart toward others. You need a conscience badly. Without it your doomed your no more than an empty shell pretending at being a human being
May God be able to effect change in you
July 12th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
You are like a kid who did something wrong, and tries to hide in his sheets in the terrified hope it will go away. Trust me, the FBI isn’t going away if you try to become anonymous, follow the straight and narrow, and come back to Jesus. What was done has now to be accounted for. Since you have detailed for the prosecution how you committed fraud against mortgage lenders, I don’t think any criminal attorney could possibly help you at this point. I see nothing but a plea bargain and conviction. Such is the price for seeking fame.
End of lesson one.
P.S. I think you have already talked about this with an attorney, and got the same message. Now you are just greedily trying to get the last dime out of these deals. What I expect is you are going to use that money to flee back to Tajikistan to escape the indictment hanging over your head, and leave G holding the murse.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:35 pm
I told you to get a lawyer. You ignored me.
I told you to get a lawyer. You ignored me.
I told you to get a lawyer. You ignored me.
I told you to get a lawyer. You ignored me.
Boy, I’m glad no one took up my $50 wager.
For the record: LossMittens didn’t “win” this suit, you forfeited.
You really suck.
Really.
Hate! Hate! Hate!
Waitaminute- why am I wasting my time arguing with you? I think I’ll walk to the beach.
Good luck, Junior.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
Casey, I’m listening to the talkcast discussion re book rights.
Don’t forget the movie rights too. Think Frank “Catch Me if You Can” Abignale.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
I’m going to delete all my bookmarks for you and your saga.
Casey, I have never ever thought what you were doing was right. You committed serial mortgage fraud, you left your spouse high and dry, you screwed over so many people and were generally so myopic.
But…
By selling off your life story, your book rights assigned and giving up the blog for a song, you have become the biggest mark of all time. You are a kid and definately not worldly-wise and you were obviously not using a lawyer.
The con was conned and in a huge way.
All I can say is that after the dust settles. After you are done with this mess and see what your personal outcome is…
Iamfacingsuccess.com still belongs to you. I’ll watch for it.
Adios
July 12th, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Hey Kid;
Told ya that you’d soon be in the backseat of your own life,didn’t I,Hobbit?
Heck,lad,over on EN, I even named the amount that you’d sell for.
But let me perhaps correct you on something…you might have just sold YOUR share of IAFF. California being community property n’ all…your wife is certainly entitled to some, if not most,of your joint assets. I’m sure just how much she will be entitled to will be determined in a court sooner rather than later.
Hopefully this domain will go into the hands of someone who will know what to do with it,it WILL help honest working people facing foreclosure, and your ex-wife will have something from it that she could never count on from you…a steady and clean income.
I told you once that angels walk among us,(if there’s such a thing as demonic possession,why can’t there be angelic possession as well?).
Looks like you met an angel here.
He wasn’t here for YOU,numbnuts, but for a woman who sacrificed her schooling and her dream of a family to clean toilets while her husband lived his selfish fantasies by hocking her future.
You will be cast down among your own kind to live out your penance.
I’m afraid that it will not be easy.
July 12th, 2007 at 6:06 pm
Casey:
……..
I have been a supportez, but after tonights talkcast I am having my doubts!
1)-I dont believe this FBI Investigation thing. The answer you gave to the caller sounded very “funny”-He asked how do you know about the investigation, did you get a knock on the door. your answer was that you got a “phone call”, also when asked if you truly VERIFIED the agents name and number was legit, you kind of danced around the answer and was caught off guard. Then the LossMitt guy comes in to the rescue to give his opinion as to why the FBI investigation and that its due to his posible “dicovery” hurting their case. Silly man, the FBI is not worried about that small claims court action hurting a federal prosecution
They CAlled YOU ?. PAAAAALEEEZZZZE!
Gimme me a brake. The FBO doesnt call targets of investigations to say “hi, just want to let you know were watching” AND the icingon the cake, ALL this stuff (FBI, Settle Suite, Give away book rights, Sell Blog) All HAPPENS the same day!
This is OBVIOUSLY a Publicity stunt cooked up by the LOSSMITTPRO to help book sales.
Secondly, there is no way you would sell a blog for only 20k that was pulling in 4k a month. Sorreeeee, thats just mathematically idiotic. UNLESS you really sold it for alot more like 50k but are hiding 30k to avoid taxes and liens garneshments etc.
You see, the whole thing it falls nicely into place like a good bradway play. Sell off the blog, settle law suit, fbi investigation with jail time coming, and the hero saves his marriage
sorry, I like you dude, maybe that story will fool people in Omaha, but I’m from NY
I wonder if you will publish this post
July 12th, 2007 at 6:11 pm
Hey @20 “Star”
You sound like LostMittens. Jerk.
Hey Lost. . . F. . . You. I’m still waiting for my lawsuit.
Good luck, Casey. I don’t like that settlement with that a** . . . but, it is your decision to make.
Dick
July 12th, 2007 at 6:17 pm
CS
You are still da man!
I could only listen a bit, but here’s my take on your talkcast.
Many of the characters on that call sounded pompous and really have no idea what they are talking about. They kept talking about “kicking your a** ”, etc. Really weird. Why would someone normal care whether you paid your taxes on some condo, what’s it to him, and why threaten you? No normal person makes threats like that.
The guy who hosted you sounded sincere. He’s ok.
The Annie person sounds like a complete and total idiot. Pontificating bozo.
I enjoyed the part where the Marty character (whoever he is), said “I can’t listen to the rest of this, because I have to get on another conference call.” That was hysterical. Like this person actually has something else to do!
Is that really you CS? Why are you even wasting your time talking to the aggressive and semi-literate characters? Your time is valuable - remember that.
Anyway CS, good luck. Tell the IRS/FBI the truth and only the truth and you will eventually get out of this. As I said a while ago, don’t try to go to them with some idiot and aggressive attorney, just go in yourself and tell them what happened and how you got into this mess. Be honest, apologetic and real.
I’m sorry you sold the blog, but $20k is $20k, and if you start blogging from elsewhere (like Cancun) who’s going to stop you?
Be well.
IRS
July 12th, 2007 at 6:24 pm
Dude… you are getting ripped of. Your blog can easily make $2k a month indefinitely. You are basically trading in a blog worth $500k for $32k in cash. It would take $480k at 5% interest to pull in $2k a month.
Your book is probably worth several hundred thousand. With all the exposure you have you could easily sell a ton of books. A lot of writers would kill to have the kind of exposure you’ve gotten. Millions of people have read about you all over the world and a lot of them would buy your book.
You are making a huge mistake.
July 12th, 2007 at 6:46 pm
It’s all bad.
You should have retained a lawyer. Begged to get one, whatever!
Congrats - another bad move and you lost money.
July 12th, 2007 at 6:46 pm
Part of my work involves doing occasional valuations. $20K for this domain is a rip-off. Casey, I hate to say it but you have been had. However, I can understand your need for fast cash at this time.
July 12th, 2007 at 6:48 pm
ASW=Looser=KC
Really, you think you won because you were going to throw the book deal away so you ’signed off’ and gave it to LMP? Now you have sold your blog so as to no longer be a public figure? You know LMP is going to take the book rights and publish everything making you a public figure in lights you may not want to be shown in since you have no control now… Could you have stuck it to yourself any worse this time, I mean, you gave him the knife to stab you with. He didn’t want the book rights just to deprive you of something, he wants some money on top of the cash settlement, the cash is because he doesn’t have 100% faith your story is worth anything or if the nolimitsladies may void it and seize it in court since it may be theirs to begin with…
July 12th, 2007 at 7:02 pm
Man, you seriously got ripped off. You gave up book (and, I presume) movie rights for $1.5k? You sold this domain for $20k?
That “foreclosure code” book was idiotic, and your “anonymous publisher” was about as shady as you, but a well done and properly marketed book could do very well.
I think one unforunet thing about starting this blog of yours was that it attracted shady people trying to take advantage of you. Those girls who tried to take all your intelectual property in exchange for “mentorship”, LossMitPro, your “publisher”. All of these people were shady, secretive, and bad for you.
Think about it. they are they reason you’re in so much trouble now.
Of course, they added a lot of drama to this blog, increasing the value, but I doubt the it was worth the price.
I think you’re fundamentally nice guy, but you need to be much more careful about the kinds of people you do business in the future.
Anyway, good luck with your W2 job. I’ll miss hearing about your life, but it will be good to get things straightened out.
Just don’t go chasing any more “sweet deals” for a while.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
Don’t listen to those people saying that you are getting ripped off. You did the right thing. I hope you can stay on the right path.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:13 pm
WOW!! Lots going on behind the scenes.
Keep updating whats going on, very interesting.

Casey,
I think youre a looser but still marriage is not a game and at this point you are letting Duane and LMP and Rob encourage your wife to leave you. These people are NOT on your side, they are trying to take advantage of you, and reap the rewards and glee of screwing you at the same time!
STOP LETTING THESE LOOSERS SPEAK FOR YOU, FOR G***** AND YOUR MARRIAGE RELATIONS!
July 12th, 2007 at 7:19 pm
Oh man!
You’ve been conned.
He did it to you again.
He knows the correct words to use get in your good graces AND your wifes.
You are too young to realize Lostmit is “taking” you again.
Why are you turning your life over to him?
He’ll just get whatever info he can and blab it all over the internet. He has bad intentions and I am sorry to hear that you think otherwise.
I’d be careful not to get burned by him again.
Watch your step Casey. He smooth talks you then turns on you. He is as slick as sheet.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Your first deal - $18k. You see, you are already making progress!!!
July 12th, 2007 at 7:42 pm
got your email today Casey. just wanted to wish you luck, and hope everything works out for you!
July 12th, 2007 at 7:46 pm
Casey - don’t listen to the people who say you are stupid selling the blog. It is the right idea and nobody will be interested when you have a W2 job a month from now. The same people probably said it was stupid to sell NASDAQ at 5000 and stupid not to buy a home in the past year.
Good luck - if you follow through on all this stuff then I will be a supporterz.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:07 pm
Casey,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to settle. I didn’t get to call in tonight but will be listening to the talkcast later.
Congrats on selling the blog. Honor your word and take care of your other half’s debts in her own name, okay? But remember, it doesn’t stop there. She’s on the hook (just like you are) for the foreclosure deficiencies, etc.
Regardless of her choices and whether you can work things out, that’s the right thing to do. I hope and pray that you can work things out and reconcile your marriage but understand it may take her some time to rebuild trust and to heal her hurts (and she may never get there).
If you truly love her, support her and commit yourself to love her, but if she won’t have it, let her go. That doesn’t mean give up. Look UP instead of trying to fix it yourself, okay?
July 12th, 2007 at 8:08 pm
Casey selling the blog for $18k is stupid. It’s making like $4k a month right now? Let’s be pessimistic and say that it drops to half that. You would make $18k in only 9 months. If it continued at $4k you would hit $18k in only 4 and half months.
The people posting that selling is a good idea are simply “haters” that are happy to see you get ripped off.
Ah well, you made another rash decision. It’s probably too late for you to change your mind anymore. I seriously think you have ADD or something. You are the most compulsive person I have ever read about.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:08 pm
Anon?–are you still out there? Please post and tell us what you think of this late turn of events.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:16 pm
Casey, I have been a supporter, but after tonights talkcast I am having my doubts….
No, I will still support you, but it makes me sooooo sad to see how you are being taken advantages of, and how you let it happen. Terrible!
One more thing: Stop apologizing to the east and to the west…. it is NOT good for your self esteem - your self respect!!!!!
July 12th, 2007 at 8:24 pm
Ah KC me good mate. I think you got had. Take care.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:25 pm
My friend sold an unused domain name (just the name) for over 40k bucks. The name wasn’t even that marketable and is used as a redirection link now. 18k for a site generating 4k a month? You got scammed good.
Seriously, you got owned like a 2 dollar ho by a pimp. Not only did you reimburse the guy for his frivilous lawsuit, but you assigned book rights to him and promised to him not to attempt to make any more money for 2 years? Go ahead and forget about opening a new site any time in the future. You just lost 90% of the supporterz by dropping to your knees and licking LossMitPro’s boots and begging for his forgiveness. Even the Haterz giving you compliments now are only happy because they broke your spirit. I think the main reason why supporterz admired you stood up to the criticism of the haterz and had confidence in your own vision and ideas. You will always be viewed now as a sell out and defeated wimp by both parties. RIP. Good luck as a 9-5 workign stiff. Maybe McDonalds is hiring.

He published it and he should read it again and again….
I agree 100% with you. It was also funny the way you ended your message:
“sorry, I like you dude, maybe that story will fool people in Omaha, but I’m from NY”
July 12th, 2007 at 8:31 pm
“His intentions are good.”
Casey, look up Stockholm syndrome. I think you have it.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:36 pm
Another stellar business decision by Casey. :rolleyes:
You got schooled.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:37 pm
To all you morons out there who claim that Casey got ripped of for selling his websit for $20k, pay special attention.
1. You can’t run a simple PV analysis on Casey’s income stream. Why? Because he was not profiting $4k a month. That assume’s Casey’s time is free which it certainly is not. Ever heard of a thing called “opportunity cost”. If Casey can pull down $4k a month doing something else, he’s at an equal footing with no opportunity loss. Chances are he’ll do better than that with his current experience and consulting that will come around as a result of the website.
2. You know what price he should sell it for? It’s called “what the market will bear”. Casey’s story is this website and vice versa. When his story ends, the traffic will drop considerably and the purchaser of the website will just get the remnants of those following Casey’s fame and misfortune. Why would I or most return to this website after Casey leaves?
People interested in buying the website are not stupid. They know they are just purchasing the near term buzz from this website. At least Casey had the sense to do a profit sharing deal should any substantial revenues come to the future owner.
3. If you think Casey is getting ripped off, why don’t you make him an offer for $50k, better yet $100k to $150k for the website and just flip it to a greater fool for the $200k to $300k you 3rd rate valuation specialists think its worth? Why won’t you. Cause you don’t know what the F*** you are talking about. Remember and learn “what the market will bear”.
All you smack talkers probably ain’t got any money to begin with. It’s all the ‘tards out there with no money and no success that are the first that want tell the rest of us the way the world works. Guess what, you are wrong!!
July 12th, 2007 at 8:51 pm
Dude. This is the 2nd time I’ve commented to you ever. The first time since yesterday.
WTF is wrong with you? You’re selling out left and right and you don’t even know it.
YOU sold the rights to YOUR book to a freakin bottom feeder?!? What a joke. That’s it man. Throw in the towel and listen to the vast magority.
“Great job Casey. Oh Casey, you’re doing the right thing. Casey, this is the smartest thing you’ve ever done.”
Oh the lies, the hypocracy of the crowd. It’s the same crowd that all agreed with the war in Iraq and then changed their minds when things soldiers started to die. And then wanted to claim they were lied to about weapons of mass destruction because they were to weak minded to make a decision for themselves. The same people who voted for Bush, yet know call for his head on a platter.
Casey, don’t be such a p**** .
These are the facts. Listen up kid.
-You are not getting your wife back
-Nothing that you write, do or say can get your wife back
-You’re selling the writes to the only positive money maker you have going for you to a doushe bag
-You’re selling the rights to your book, also to a doushe bag
-You’re giving up your dream for a fallacy (your wife)
Let’s stop and back track for a second. Where did you go wrong. I bet you’re just scared of the feds and this whole this is a cover.
Or, the only other reasonable explanation is you’re just a young 24 year old kid who doesn’t know any better and will certainly regret this later in life.
Either way, again you’re being a chicken s*** . And you know it.
Any publicity IS good publicity. You had, and still have a dynasty going here. You could turn this into so much. Yet, again, you are throwing it away over a broad. Shame on you.
I myself created a dynasty. I have an avid (thousands) following on youtube. I am 30, single and living out my dream. I would never give it away for a broad.
Never.
And when the right one comes around. I’ll know. And I won’t have to stop my dream for her. Neither should you.
So this is my last post to you kid. I urge you to reconsider shutting down your dynasty…
July 12th, 2007 at 8:53 pm
Sharky,
Damn son, use a breath mint once in awhile. Long winded + chronic halitosis = socially unacceptable.
July 12th, 2007 at 8:54 pm
Much has been said about the FBI agent that contacted you over the phone. Could you let us know:
a) are you under a gag order?;
b) did the judge tell you about the FBI investigation, as has been speculated over at EN?; and
c) have you received any papers from the FBI or can you some other way verify the agent was indeed real and not a hoax?
July 12th, 2007 at 8:57 pm
Casey, no matter what happens, keep on the sunny side.

Okay Casey, here’s a much better offer. I’ve come to your blog from time to time. I follow it because I’m a bear on housing and occassionally the other sites I follow post about you. Let’s face it, this country is about to see a wave of foreclosures like nothing ever seen before. More and more people will want to “sypathize” in the coming months. The fallout will be HUGE.
Misery loves company.
As someone who made his money on the internet, and currently operates a multi-million dollar site, I can help you. Heck, I’ll be helping myself as I’m in it for the money. I started from scratch, like yourself. I can tell you for a fact your current deal is the most unfavorable one possible.
I’ve got a way better offer for you.
I’ll give you $20,000 up front and you can keep 50% of the revenue this site generates indefinately. We’ll be 50/50 partners, build this thing up to $50k per month in ad revenue within a year. Internet marketing is my specialty, and I’ve been at it for 10 years with a track record and multi-million dollar websites to show for it. Email me at alix@cityvibe.com or call my office 310-247-7744 tomorrow. If I’m not there ask the operator to forward you to my cell, I didn’t want to post it on a public forum.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:02 pm
Casey,
I think once again, you jumped and rushed into a decision. You are being manipulated and pressured. Just when things were going to take off you close a door. Happens everytime.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:07 pm
Sweet—-
You settled because you have no money. Sweet, was that lack of money , earned with your passive income or your
w-2 income?
sweet
July 12th, 2007 at 9:23 pm
A bit dissapointed in the deal, if this is it. But if you’re happy with it, then it’s all good.
The blog is worth far more than $20K with you involved in it. The book, if it’s any good, has value given your ability to get publicity. If the book is not good, it is a lost opportunity.
Book publishers salivate over any story that will sell and, properly told, this one would have sold. Skyler Bartels spent 41 hours in a WalMart and got a book agent.
Think it would have been better to fix a dollar amount on the damages and just proceed with the blog and book. If $1,500 are the damages, you’ve given much away.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:59 pm
Casey:
Make sure and let us know where you get the W2 job. I bet you can demand an extra buck an hour from the Starbucks or McDonalds you work at since lots of people will come in to see the “Forclosure Kid” the “Blue Ball” and “Vee Dubs” in the parking lot…
July 12th, 2007 at 10:04 pm
Casi - I have never been a big fan of yours. You may even consider me one of the “haterz”. I always thought you to be very arrogant and selfish. You have changed my mind. You “bent over” [backwards?] to save your marriage. LossMitPro is a crook in my opinion. Anyone doing business should not be afraid or ashamed of their name being mentioned. Hiding behind a domain name is cowardly. He took advantage of your love for your wife and he won this round and you lost. I’m sure he will get his in the end. I admire you for doing what was right for your family, even when you had to know you were being done wrong. In this day of disposable marriages you make me proud. I hope you will not disappear and will find some other avenue to tell your story. I hope your latest actions will let you be known as a guy who loved his wife & treasured his marriage instead of the dumb (sorry) young guy who lost it all in real estate. You will come back. I really hope you find a way to share your comeback story with us.
July 12th, 2007 at 10:07 pm
Mr J. Rubbernecking is right. You have been taken again. This is the worst deal to date. Why do you entertain this smooth talking para-legal? You should avoid contact with your advesary. I would inform the judge of this meeting on your next court date. How can LossMittPro not be ashamed by this “deal”?
July 12th, 2007 at 10:08 pm
Casey:
Make sure to register the domain of “iamfacingforclosureagain” for when you get back in to real estate.
July 12th, 2007 at 10:16 pm
Casey, Casey, Casey…
What’s the matter with you? Why are you still doing biz with all the scums? LMP now has rights to your book(s)? Sell your blog to Duane is fine, but you should end it RIGHT there, no more 50% of future revenue or whatever. These 2 are scums. When you swim with the scum, you’ll continue to be a scum.
Read the bible in abstract view, again, God wants NOTHING in return when you ask for a prayer. Satan wants your soul when you make a deal. I’ll put it bluntly. Duane, soldier of Satan’s army wanted your farm (your blog), he got it cheap. If you know how stocks are valued (ie, P/E, book ratio), you know he got it cheap. LMP, got rights to your book simply by threatening you? They are not your friends. Cut off all the deals with them. Duane paid $20k up front, good, now end it. No more 50%, or trade that to LMP in exchange to getting your book rights back. Get a lawyer, review everything. Tell all to leave you alone. They should not be helping you, nor your sig other. They aren’t qualified. They have not shown to be trustworthy, but slime scums by their actions. Remember, if Duane really cares about you, he wouldn’t screw you with a low ball offer. On Wall St. we called those who circled the company in distress buzzards, vultures. That’s what Duane is doing to you. You wanted to sell… fine, you sold, but youshould cut off all ties with them immediately. Same apply to LMP. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Remember, they both betrayed you, yet you still trust them and continue to do biz with them? Why?
July 12th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
One more thing, I am sure Duane will think you got a good deal. If he thinks he’s helping you in such a fantastic way, 1- he should not pressure you to take the $20k offer immediately, he should let you find the higher offer in X days (7 is reasonable). He can then either match or agree to let you sell to the highest bidder. After all, he’s trying to help you (or your wife) no? Him, being the self righteous Christian that he is?
As many have expressed their opinions, you are a mark. You got screwed, and you continue to screw others. NOT a SINGLE one of them want to help you sincerely, but to screw you and get something in return. If LMP wanted to help you, and upon settled with the fees… he still wants rights to your book which is potentially of high value?
I understand you made the deals probably in distress. So what’s done is done. But seriously, you should walk away completely. Stop associating with them anymore. Do what you say you are going to do. Pay down your wife’s debt. Get a job or two. In fact, go get a temp, pt job immediately - goto your local McDie, Pizza hut, Starbuck, Jamba Juice, and get a job there. Because you aren’t going to find an IT job immediately. If you want to be an biz man, observer how McDie, Starbucks, Jamba Juice operate. Also, this would give you some income til you find an IT job.
July 12th, 2007 at 11:05 pm
CS -
If you sold,
just get the papers drawn up and notarized properly.
If you receive 50% of the revenue for the next year, make sure you hire an accountant and get proper access to the books, and get your proper share. Pay back what you can with that money, while you can. That could win back a lot of good will.
If the buyer is able to monetize the traffic, the next year should see some sweet residual income flowing back. If the purchaser has a plan, maybe they will be able to leverage something you couldn’t, and you both win.
The internet is full of TLDs, you will live to blog again. A year from now, people will still be curious, you won’t have much trouble reestablishing a new blog of some kind. It doesn’t have to take over and consume your life, if the posts and topics are good.
if it works, I would start a new blog like www.ipaiditallback.com - sell pixels and keep a running count of the repaid debts - kind of like a monetary countdown clock. BTW - that domain is available…..
…..Where will all the haterz go now - if you’re not blogging about this stuff anymore, they have as much right to hassle you about these things in your personal life as to hassle any joe minding his business - that’s right, they have no right.
You might even be able to sue a few for slander, if they won’t leave well enough alone.
Good luck.
July 12th, 2007 at 11:22 pm
aack!!
So can I assume that LossMitPunk is gonna be a stand-up guy, and use any money received from you to pay off G’s credit cards?
Hmmm … I thought not.

July 13th, 2007 at 12:16 am
$20k + 50% of revenue for a year… If your buyer can double the income of the site then you will have made more than if you had kept it as your personal blog. I don’t think the earnings of $4k/month would last very long anyway unless the entire format of the site changed.
Good luck with your new life. Work hard. Be honest. Slow and steady wins the race.
July 13th, 2007 at 12:26 am
Duane paid too much.
If he agreed to buy without content, he really, really paid too much.
Why do I think you are going to find a way to get your hands on that money? After all, you made the site and kept it going, why should they take your precious away?
July 13th, 2007 at 12:36 am
Best of luck Casey. Seems like you might be right in regards to fame (infamy).
I hope things work out for you in the future.
Cheers.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:18 am
ASW: loose
Sounds to me like you’re playing loose with your future, looser. Selling the blog now is a VERY good thing, but the rights to your story??? Are you nuts? Now, LMP has the right to publish his own potentially nasty version of your story, and there’s nothing you can do about it! I bet you think that since you weren’t doing anything with your “book” that there was no harm in letting it go. But when you had the rights, you had the choice to either publish your story, or keep it quiet. Now you don’t have any control over that at all.
Stoopid, stoopid, stoopid.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:26 am
I thought I had made my last post. You do realize this blog is going to document your every move through the legal system, right? Who did you trust this time?
July 13th, 2007 at 3:06 am
didn’t you have an offer for $100,000 a while back. Who’s buying the blog? and still don’t understand who you’re assigning the book rights to.
would anyone be willing to hire you, given your background.
July 13th, 2007 at 4:16 am
KC:
I hate to say it but I feel your problems with those two sharks (Duane/Mark) are just beginning. Their chief concerns are how much THEY can make off this site and your notoriety. This is a once-in-life-time opportunity for them to gain name recognition and it’s coming at your expense. It was you who made this the hottest housing blog in the US and they need the p.r. only you (at this point) can generate. Therefore I don’t expect they’ll want you to stop contributing anytime soon. Next month we’ll be reading about some new part-time employment plan where you stay on in some capacity.
It’s really tragically/comic but you’re likely going to end up an employee working on the site you created!
July 13th, 2007 at 5:08 am
KC, You probably made the best choice. Clean up your life, you’re young, you have plenty of time to start new businesses in the future.
Good luck Casey.

Getting sued or going to trial always seems to get peoples attention. If this isn’t another scam by the boy who cried wolf, I’d be surprised.
If your wife really lowered the boom on you I have to applaud her. She’s way too young and pretty to be saddled with a felon and liar for the next 50 years.

“Pay him $1,572.50 towards his expenses”
Ask Casey who is totally broke and has a lot of debt to pay him and even claim he is trying to help him…. It disgusts me!
That tells all about LossMitPro - he is nothing but a money sucker, a man I would stay FAR away from.
July 13th, 2007 at 6:49 am
Actually, Casey is very smart indeed to get anything at all for this blog and the book that will never be published. Of course, this blog could generate good profit for someone that is actually willing to work hard at it and focus. Does anyone here think that’s Casey? Casey’s book, the life story of a serial scammer, has already been done by Frank Abagnale (author of “Catch Me if You Can”). Of course, that takes work too and to be interesting there has to be a turn-around (or at least a long prison sentence) in the end. Casey just doesn’t have what it takes to write a book like that right now nor do I think he will end up in prison.
If this is all real, and I have my doubts, Casey has a long road ahead of him. Given his track record, he will fall into another shady “business” before too long in his quest to get rich quick and his story will repeat once again.
July 13th, 2007 at 7:00 am
Casey comes from Uzbekistan, he lives in the USA, but he is a Russian. What is typical for Russians is that they never forget their origins. No matter the country they live in, no matter the language they speak - they will always be Russians. Spit on one Russian abroad and all Russians will consider it an offence towards the Russian people.
Backstab Casey one more time and I forsee that web sites will be launched and hosted in Russia, the whole story told in English with disclosure of names, addresses and photos……
July 13th, 2007 at 7:10 am
At #68.
Dude… are you serious or just a “hater”?
1. Casey *may* be able to get a job making $4k a month but it will require *working*. Sorry, but maintaining a blog does not compare to a W2 job. Also, I really doubt he is going to be able to find a good job. He has no degree, he has been unemployed for a year, his FICO is probably negative lol, and most importantly Casey is not the working drone type. His personality is going to keep home from being a W2 employee. He isn’t going to be able to handle it. He is an entrepreneur… a horrible one, yes… but he isn’t going to be able to do anything else without self-destructing eventually.
2. Of course the website may lose traffic. Who cares? If he simply kept it he could keep running it and bringing in comparable money. Even if his revenue dropped in half that is some insane risk free passive income. I would love to have a blog that made $4k a month. There is no way in hell I would sell it for less than $100k.
The person buying the website is a true Casey hater. That dude is out to destroy Casey. Why would anyone sell to the main guy that has been trying to f* you over? That guy is getting into his marriage and everything, trying to ruin his life.
3. Lame… just because I can’t offer $100k for it means it’s not worth that much? Casey made all these impulsive decisions in like what… one day? He didn’t shop this thing around. Who knows what it could go for. You don’t just take the first offer you get.
Anyway, be happy haters. You won.
July 13th, 2007 at 7:27 am
In your fraudcast, you mentioned that you were going to disappear off the internet after August 3rd.
But you also mentioned that you were looking for a W2 job in internet marketing that could leverage the visibility you generated from this blog.
Doesn’t that seem contradictory? Are you going to become invisible? Or are you going to try to turn being visible into a looser W2 job™?
July 13th, 2007 at 7:30 am
#101. jh
Good entry. I agree 100%. Except for the last sentence:
“Anyway, be happy haters. You won.”
They will never win……
July 13th, 2007 at 8:00 am
Casey, good job on the talkcast. I know it was hard. I was proud of you when you admitted to Marty the reason you didn’t call him. Keep up the good work.
Speaking of work, please reconsider my idea that you get a job as a resident manager for a small apt building. Buildings with 16 or more units must have a resident manager living on site, and they almost always provide the apt for free. Often it’s a 2BR. Plus you usually get a salary, sometimes $40K or more, which goes a long way when you have no rent.
You have to do stuff like show and lease apts, talk to vendors for painting, carpet cleaning, etc., deal with tenant issues, and all sorts of stuff to maximize the landlord’s investment. You also have a lot of fun interacting with nice people; you know everybody in the building.
I bet you have some contacts through your investment clubs who might need someone. Or keep checking the classifieds under Apartment. You can also call around to the property mgmt companies you see on buildings you like.
July 13th, 2007 at 8:00 am
GAME OVER FOR CASEY!
July 13th, 2007 at 8:01 am
Casey,
I am interested in a deal as well. I believe you have been suckered by LMP.
How about $30K up front and 60/40 (60 for you)? You do the drama, I’ll handle the ad revenue.
No Duane, LMP, etc… Maybe you should retain a lawyer. Think about it for a day or so.
July 13th, 2007 at 8:20 am
I was talking to a friend of mine who is heavy into the web 2.0 business about IAFF. He thinks that you could get at least $50,000 for it. Up front plus two years of half the gross.
July 13th, 2007 at 8:23 am
If it doesn’t work out with your wife –she’s out clubbing so it seems she’s moved on–will you come back under a different domain?
July 13th, 2007 at 8:43 am
All of the people who are insisting that Casey is selling the site to LossMitPro aren’t reading particularly carefully. He never said he was selling IAFF to him — only that he was getting paid out of the proceeds.
July 13th, 2007 at 8:43 am
Casey,
I am sorry about the way things worked out for you. As is clear to a lot of people, you got hustled, played, intimidated and strongarmed.
Remember, for the future’s sake, nobody can take advantage of you without your permission.
Some of your haterz still seem to regard you as this master con artist, but I just don’t see it like that. On the contrary, you are very naive, even considering your age.
At this point it may be worth considering getting a college degree, since you have decided to take the “stable employment” path. You do have certain talents, and you will find better employment with a college degree. You don’t want to be 40 years old and working the cash register at Starbucks.
Good luck.
July 13th, 2007 at 8:46 am
Folks:
Please refrain from offers to buy this domain directed to Casey, he’s no longer in control of those sale rights. I AM, like it or not! And this provision is already agreed upon and cannot be reversed (based on California law). Casey has made a good choice based on his desires and good faith efforts to accommodate all sides, ESPECIALLY Casey’s aim to see that a certain lady’s bills were paid.
Rather than waive the shiny objects in front of Casey, thinking that what he’s agree to can be undone? Why don’t you folks congratulate the man, for taking some giant steps toward turning his life around?
You may disagree with how it all went down, certainly, but before you’re too harsh on any one person? Know that Casey himself had a hand in everything that was set in stone, before it was cast there. It took courage to do what Casey has done, and that is taking the first steps toward REAL success in life!
Encourage him; don’t tease with what could have been.
~Mark

Casey, the gerneral tone of my comments to you has always been to shut this thing down, fade into the backround and take care of your issues…
From what all i can gather from your post and EN and CHC and your very own talkcast, it looks as though you at least have taken the first steps in that direction and I have to give you kudos on that.
now keep it up and don’t go back on it like you did the last time, although it looks as though you have allowed some individuals with a little more will power help you keep this commitment.

Why would anyone want to buy this worthless POS domain, Mark? I sure wouldn’t pay to read it, and I’d never buy anything from an advertiser. But what do I know? Maybe you can attract enough getrichquickers to make money with it. Nothing I like to see more than grifters scamming each other.

Casey, this is my last post - I am leaving. I cannot stand this farce anymore.
If you ever need help then do not hessitate to contact me.
The best wishes to you, your wife and your family!
Goodbye, Casey.

@LossMitPro
Can’t Casey use established IAFF case law and simply post “LossMitPro: No deal!” to void his contract with you?
After all, the only reason he had rights on his story to transfer to you is because he did something similar with the last parties who owned rights to his story.
July 13th, 2007 at 9:38 am
Mark,
Don’t get ahead of yourself. When Casey files for bankruptcy everything will go back up in the air. He has paid creditors, transferred his domain, etc. all when he knew he was going to file for bankruptcy.
Do you understand the law regarding preference payments before bankruptcy at all? Why do you feel Casey is entitled to transfer assets at less than the highest possible price and not pay his creditors with the proceeds?
There will be a lot of creditors in line. Any money given to Casey at this point is not Casey’s money. It is the creditors money.
And it sounds like you are facilitating Casey not paying his creditors and instead giving money to his significant other?
Mark.. you apparently have no idea what you are doing in terms of loss mitigation. Do you understand the situation you are putting yourself in at all?
July 13th, 2007 at 9:44 am
111. LossMitPro:
You’re so full of shxt I don’t know where to begin. You got what you wanted. Fine. Now, I certainly hope Casey agrees once the blog is turned over to never have anything to do with this site again. Nobody gives a rat’s a** about you or Duane and your concern for his family and/or Casey’s well-being is laughable.
But I’m sure both you and Duane will find a way to keep Casey on-board after the turn-over because without Casey and his on-going drama the popularity of this site is will nose dive big-time.
July 13th, 2007 at 9:49 am
Casey, don’t forget to cancel your subscription with Yaro. If you can’t get out of it, give it to someone else and have them change the password.
July 13th, 2007 at 9:51 am
@101 ~ Highly doubt site could consistently pull in $4k/month. Maybe peak a few months here and there. But not in the long run.
@LOSSMITPRO ~ You’re an a$$. Taking the wife next?
@myself ~ What the hell am I going to do with myself when the blog finally dies? Crap. Anyone know what’s on TV?
@Casey ~ You going to still be posting after in 20 days? For you sake, I hope not. Disappear and live a cash only life for the next 5 years. Then start over. Your young, time and reflection will teach you the lessons you missed here and you’ll do better next time.
$20k is a great price. Take it and run. Start over. Don’t look back.
IAFF was your only asset and only source of income, but it’s also what is holding you back. The haterz and crash watchers are your only audience. You can do better with a different audience.
July 13th, 2007 at 9:54 am
We’re all pulling for you to get back on track!
July 13th, 2007 at 10:05 am
While I have to concede the circus atmosphere here is quite entertaining and I will miss it, your first responsibility is to put things right with the people you love.
You have blurred the line between a person and a product, and the people in your world have suffered the consequences.
I think you are doing the right thing by taking a step back and deciding what are the most important things to you. I have passed on many career opportunities because of my own marriage. I could be far more successful in my profession if I chose to be, but I made the choice to geographically stay closer to my husband and take the consequences of my choice. For me, a successful and happy marriage was the most important thing.
Everybody has an opinion about what you should or should not do. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is “can you sleep at night with your decisions”? If you wife is the most important thing to you, you have to do whatever it takes to heal that relationship. At the same time, she has to ultimately be willing to forgive you and move forward in both spirit and word. I would strongly suggest marriage counseling. If you are religious, a pastor at your church may be able to arrange it at low to no cost.
Ultimately, there will always be another business deal, but people who truly love you in this world are in rare supply.
Best of luck-
July 13th, 2007 at 10:33 am
Casey
You have clearly demonstrated over the past 10 months that you are not a businessman. I’m glad that you settled Marks claim and sold the blog to Duane. The terms of both agreements (as I understand them) are more than fair to all parties involved. It will be interesting to hear how you work things out with Marty since you no longer have anything of value to negotiate with.
I don’t have any suggestions for your future because honestly, I don’t think you are hireable by any company or in any profession that will pay a living wage. I am also of the belief that you are past the point of no return in your marriage.
How many resumes have you sent out today? Sharky made a great suggestion during last nights fraud cast (Merchant Marine) and someone else suggested that you look for work as an onsite property manager. Do you plan to explore those possibilities?
Based on your past and present performance, I can predict where you will be in a year. I like surprises and happy endings though……….surprise us Casey.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:42 am
lossmitpro, will be interesting to see what you do with the site.
I would recommend against advising people on how to file ex parte actions, though.
I agree this is the best thing Casey could do, he needs to get on with his life.

HE’S now the one who is going to profit from your illegal activities!
Wake up and smell the wheat grass!
July 13th, 2007 at 10:56 am
Man oh man, this is a train wreck.
What struck me the most about yesterday’s talkcast is Casey’s incessant apologizing.
Casey, you have to stop this.
Anyone telling you at this point that they are helping you is full of it. They are there to feed off the carcass and nothing more.
So stop letting them treat you like a 12 year old who just got busted for breaking a window with his slingshot. It was painful listening to you apologize for everything as well as thanking them for what amounts to plundering your last remaining assets.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:57 am
#111 xxxx And this provision is already agreed upon and cannot be reversed (based on California law). xxx
There’s not a contract written that can’t be undone. Trust me, there are a whole raft of lawyers who make a good living breaking iron-clad contracts and I guess that Casey acting under duress and strain would certainly be one avenue they might take in this case, but there are others. If there’s enough money involved to make it worthwhile, I would expect you will hear from them.
P.S. Both you and I know G will get none of this money.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:00 am
I am glad you have decided to do something about all this mess and I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully your wife will forgive you, the FBI will drop their case and you can declare bankrupt and walk away from the debt. In fact I don’t consider that unlikely at all. However, if any one of these things go wrong you will be in trouble.
To maximize your chances of it all going well: do the “right” thing (right in the opinion of the average citizen) - get a job or two (so that you are at least working the hours that a regular American is and preferably 5-10 hrs/week more), take care of your family, seriously cut down spending to a minimum, pay your rent and as much debt as you can. Even if it’s only a small fraction of the debt you pay (maybe not even enough to cover interest) you will stand a much better chance of a succesful bankruptcy case if you show that you have changed and are taking responsibility by cutting back on life-style spending. Stop anything that is even just a bit shady or fancy like corporate credit etc. Make sure you can later document that you have taken responsibility by documenting how big a fraction of your income is going to paying off debts. It may be hard to start with but you can easily do it if you’re motivated and start taking pride in the fact that you’re living within your means.
Thanks for the blogging and the web site. It’s been fun following even though I don’t think you have been doing the right thing until now. Your blog has really exposed the dark side of the housing bubble. A side that is now also being exposed with the sub-prime scandal that we haven’t even seen the tip of the iceberg of. That is not going to go away with this block.
P.S. That settlement with LossMitPro really disgusts me. Taking advantage of you like that by filing a dubious lawsuit and then expecting you to cover the costs. It’s outrageous. But what is done is done and you made a profit after all.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:00 am

“I think youre a looser but still marriage is not a game and at this point you are letting Duane and LMP and Rob encourage your wife to leave you. These people are NOT on your side, they are trying to take advantage of you, and reap the rewards and glee of screwing you at the same time!”
It was just a couple of weeks ago that Rob, Duane, and the rest of that crowd were talking about how evil the publisher was because he was breaking up Casey’s marriage. Now they’re doing it themselves. It’s apparent that if they do something then it’s OK, but if someone else does something - anything - then it’s not.
The marriage is done. She’s not coming back. She was posting on the haterz blogs last night and it was confirmed that it was her by the guy who runs the Casey Wiki, who in turn had been told by Duane that it was her.
The FBI agent calling Casey is an obvious troll. The FBI doesn’t call people that they’re investigating and tell them about it. If they want to talk to someone then they’ll show up in person and interrogate them. They’re also not going to discuss what evidence they have or have not gathered. They are also not going to call or warn anyone that is considered a flight risk, like a person that has just gone for an extended vacation in Australia.
Casey got trolled hard. One of the people on the whofailedtoday board is claiming that he was the one that called Casey and fooled him into thinking that he was an FBI agent, but I personally think that he’s taking credit for another person’s troll. I believe that it was one of the EN people and that they did it to scare Casey into giving up at court.
I do hope that Casey goes to prison for his crimes but I also hope that he’s not alone. The Haterz over on Rob’s blog are every bit as evil and manipulative and immoral as Casey ever was.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:08 am
Casey,
Just listened to the talkcast. It still feels like a lot has been left out, but I guess that is on purpose. I agree with those that say that you are naive, and I only wish you the best. It just still bothers me that just LAST WEEK, you were saying that these guys were trying to be your “father figure” and now LossMit is telling everyone to direct their questions for buying the blog to him. Didn’t you create this blog? What happened? I thought YOU said the lawsuit was frivolous? Something stinks, and I’m not sure what it is!!!! But luckily this is not for me to decide, so GOOD LUCK again!
July 13th, 2007 at 11:38 am
I just listened to the fraudcast and have to agree with many the people who feel there is something very disturbing about LossMittpro and Duane’s involvement. On too many levels to name, they are behaving inappropriately. Please try to have as little contact as possible with them until you can speak with a lawyer.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:42 am
Hey Casey rescind your deal with scumbag speedy gonzalez. Contracts based on fraud, misrepresentation or blackmail are always voidable. I cant believe you would give him ten cents. You need to raise money from supporterz and litigate scumbag gonzales into bankruptcy.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:42 am
I’m confused.
How the heck can a blog actually come close to producing $2,000/month of income?
Via the affiliations?
So how many folks are actually clicking on those affiliate links? That’s got to be loads in order to generate that much revenue.
Blogs are free to set up, and easy to maintain.
In any case, good luck Casey!

Hi Casey, I have tried to contact you with no response. Why are you dealing with lossMittTit? He is obviously a vulture of the highest order. I will NEVER visit this sight again knowing he will be profiting, and I am sure others wont either.
The “draw” has always been you and your story. This site will do nothing and earn nothing after (if) you are gone.
I am sorry you did not talk to me before all of this, as I do have some funds available that may have helped against the people that are supposedly helping you. Good luck Casey
July 13th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
Casey, you are the master of weaseling out of or ignoring contracts. You got hosed my friend. Do what you do best.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:01 pm
Casey,
The FBI was a troll. You don’t find out about investigations until you’re doing the perp walk.
Your w*** is gone and she’s not coming back. Sad, but true. Don’t let it cloud your decision-making.
Speaking of decisions, you need to stop making decisions so quickly. Make a rule for yourself: any big decision you will think about for 3 days. Yes, you may miss out on some sweet “today only!” deals, but that’s the price you need to pay until you start making better decisions.
As part of any higher-paying W-2 job, you’re going to have to sign things like NDAs and IP assignment agreements. How are you going to convince an employer you will abide by these agreements when your track record is, shall we say, less than stellar when it comes to abiding by agreements? That is going to be your biggest challenge, not a degree or lack thereof. To get any higher-paying job, you need a compelling story about why you and you alone are the person for the job. Start working on your story now. You need an answer for the flakiness that any hiring manager with Internet access will find out about.
Oh, and the lady from Boston on the talkcast was right. You are being taken advantage of by bottom feeders.
Yours Truly,
Frank Rizzo

You’ve made a few decisions out of desparation.
Any decision out of desparation is the wrong decision.
I’ve been with enough women to know-
-If she’s not talking to you for as long as she has, she’s moved on. I’ve had women jump from and to my ship. I’ve seen it happen both ways.
-Secondly, Duane and LossMitt are going to own you based upon the terms you laid out.
-Third, Watch Duane. He seems like the kind of guy that will be making a run at G if he hasn’t already. If he ends up with her, he got the blog for free because that money will end up back in his pocket.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:46 pm
hey loss mitt t** , You may be able to push Casey around, but you do not control adults. I will offer, or ask or say anything I damn well please. You are a vulture,and your actions are despicable. Don’t you have a 200 dollar Visa bill to go call on in your cubicle, or is business slow?
July 13th, 2007 at 1:47 pm
Since Fridays are a slow day for me, generally speaking. Thought I’d address some comments on Casey’s site, so here goes…
OneWhoKnoas @ 9:38 AM:
”Mark.. you apparently have no idea what you are doing in terms of loss mitigation. Do you understand the situation you are putting yourself in at all?”
Yes you’re so right; I have no clue what I’m doing. But the fact remains Casey and I have an arrangement based on litigation settlement, and, WHAT CASEY WANTS — and I’ll continue to believe Casey intents to honor those terms until his actions dictate otherwise. So guess my expertise was good enough to get that handled.
b4freedom @ 9:51 AM:
”@LOSSMITPRO ~ You’re an a$$.”
Why because Casey FINALLY made some good decisions for himself? Because Casey realizes some things are more important than money? Yeah, ok, then I suppose you’re right I am an “a$$” for giving the man what he wanted.
Rob @ 10:42 AM:
”lossmitpro, will be interesting to see what you do with the site.”
Actually, I have nothing to do with what the new domain owner does with this site. I do hope it helps people in foreclosure, however, as I know that was a noble aim of Casey’s that never got off the ground.
review @ 10:47 AM:
”LMP takes you to court because he doesn’t believe you should be profiting from you illegal activities…”
Really? Well, how am I “profiting” by gaining back money I already spent? Where’s the clear business model in that?
Used to Be Casey supporter @ 10:57 AM:
”There’s not a contract written that can’t be undone. Trust me, there are a whole raft of lawyers who make a good living breaking iron-clad contracts…”
LOL, is that a fact? Well, California settlement agreements aren’t like most contracts. They preclude certain things that are normally used to make contracts “undone” but you’re certainly entitled to opinion. Hey maybe you can represent Casey if he wants to have our settlement “undone?” Look up the term Res judicata before filling Casey’s head with foolish notions, will ya?
Martin Hansen @ 11:00 AM
That settlement with LossMitPro really disgusts me. Taking advantage of you like that by filing a dubious lawsuit and then expecting you to cover the costs.”
Hey appreciate your loyalty to Casey, but for one; my suit had merit, otherwise I’d have never made it beyond the TRO hearing. Secondly, if my suit had merit isn’t it reasonable to ask for at least costs? I could have stuck it to Casey, plead out the case and obtained much more. So the only thing I profit from this whole mess, is getting back money I already spent.
Still, I respect your opinion.
~Mark

I’m done. I was feeling sorry for you. Now, I’m not.
This was probably the most idiotic set of decisions you have made to date.
There is no point in rooting for you. You screw up everything you touch. And you never, ever learn.
Bye.
July 13th, 2007 at 2:10 pm
Casey,
I hope you learned your lesson. If not, I think there are two primary take-aways for you:
1- All business is done via either legal action or threats of legal action. If things aren’t going your way, threaten a law suit. You’ll be surprised at how often you can effectively use this strategy in even the most benign of circumstances. Another good tip here is to obfuscate the issues through the use of old timey and cool sounding legalese.
2- Always involve as many anonymous people from the Internet as possible in your business dealings (BTW- I think John Mackey would back me up here). While you would think that people have better things to do with their time, the “long tail” says otherwise. Good business is always concerned with not only involving these people, but also keeping them informed of how your business activities are progressing. Also, don’t be afraid to make it as personal as possible. If the masses want to know about your business partner’s personal life, post it for all to see.
I hope these help and best of luck in you future business dealings!
July 13th, 2007 at 2:17 pm
Anyone else that is is FRIDAY THE 13th?
What a great way to end this criminal Legacy.
Casey, some questions for you:
- Who is modirating this site, you or Mark.
- Have you double check by calling back the FBI agent to see if he is legit or not?
- Are you having sellers remorse?
July 13th, 2007 at 2:22 pm
147. Lessons: Good comment.
The real spike in the heart of Casey’s relationships and comeback attempts was his family’s excessive involvement with his haterz. It’s a very weird phenomenon–people who become obsessed with forcing a stranger celebrity to live as they see fit. If they can’t do it in a benign way, they do it in a malicious way. These are the kinds of people you run away from, not look to for help.
And Casey wasn’t the only one in his world who got way, way too involved, if you take my meaning.
OK, now I’m done.

Hey, Bizpro, ya can’t squeeze blood from a turnip… You scared a poor fool into paying you back to a cheap, crappy lawsuit that you filed just because you could.. you are a case study for tort reform…
July 13th, 2007 at 2:40 pm
I’ll miss the entertainment here, but there are other sites, and it wasn’t all wasted–I’ve actually seen some cases come into my firm with many Casey similarities. Two other things:
1) Duane’s and LossMitPro’s actions are creepy. Their words are creepy too. I read their posts, and posts about them, and keep having to wipe the slime off my monitor.
2) Does anyone see the similarities between LossMitPro supposedly dressing down his detractors and the way Nigel did it? Both of them are so full of sh*t and don’t even know it, and the condescending way they have about them is even funnier. I’ll miss those posts, and would love to see LossMitPro write a blog about getting his a** kicked in court. Maybe iamfacingreallawyers.com?
July 13th, 2007 at 2:42 pm
You had a good run — or, if not exactly good, at least entertaining. Time to put away childish things, get a job, go to night school and sin no more [that means no sneaking back on MySpace or with another blog name].
There are no shortcuts, kiddo. Dust yourself off, make amends with those you’ve hurt and do something worthwhile with your life.
July 13th, 2007 at 3:11 pm
I don’t think an apology for mittens is in order especially after harassing and stealing money from a broke debtor. can you say vulture?
July 13th, 2007 at 3:26 pm
Hey “Lost Mittens”:
(or whatever the hell you call yourself)
It’s plain and obvious to everyone that you’re just another high school dropout lawyer-wannabe plugging up the courts with frivolous lawsuits. What I would know, and I ask this question in all honesty and without a shred of rhetoric, is how do you manage to stay alive day to day? How do you and people like you avoid getting your heads blown off outside the courthouse? A******* like you who manage to stay alive at the very least must have a well thought-out security strategy. Any tips?
July 13th, 2007 at 3:42 pm
Casey, you’ve got to rethink all of this. You have recently made a bunch of emotional decisions in the heat of the moment. That’s not good operating procedure, and the decisions that you have made reflect that.
Calm yourself down, and think about the situation.
July 13th, 2007 at 4:50 pm
Lossmit,
I think you proved your point but please stop trying to be an “internet gangsta”. Casey has a lot to learn, but I am not sure that he has figured it out. This whole thing seems very impulsive!!!
July 13th, 2007 at 5:21 pm
LOSSMITPRO .. and I KNOW you are reading … if you have any balls at all .. you will donate the settlement money you get to pay down G****** debts.
Its ILL gotten money.
So lets see what kind of MAN YOU REALLY ARE …. time to buck up buddy. Do you have the BALLS to do it?
July 13th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
Congrat Casey on selling your blog and the lawsuit!
July 13th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
Mark,
Just a few questions.
Are you familiar with 11 U.S.C. § 547 of the Bankruptcy Code?
Were you an advisor of Casey’s in terms of who he should be paying, when and whether he should file for bankruptcy?
Did you present yourself to Casey as a “Loss Mitigation Professional”?
Were you aware that Casey had lied on his mortgage loans, was not paying creditors and was facing bankruptcy but you still decided to take money from him personally and direct who he paid money to?
July 13th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
Was the FBI an F I B ?
Casey, as has been suggested elsewhere, what if one of these bullies arranged for someone to impersonate an FBI agent? You were played. That just isn’t right.
How exactly did LMP tell you, or is he just taking credit where it is not due?
asw: divorce
July 13th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
Mark,
Why all the waffling on the FBI information?
Too bad you guys can’t seem to get your stories straight.
There will be letters sent to the Court, concerning the manner in which entered this settlement and the very interesting twist with the FBI investigation.
I hope all your ducks are in order Mark. People are going to start investigating the FBI story, and luckily, you spent the day opening your mouth. All of your stories contradict one another. I hope you are as good of an attorney as you claim to be.
Don’t worry about posting this Mark, its just for your eyes only. Didn’t know when to stop, did you?
July 13th, 2007 at 5:53 pm
Casey,
Just to address Mark’s nonsense:
1) You should not have settled the lawsuit. Discovery would do nothing more to you _if_ the FBI were actually investigating you. (as claimed by Mark)
2) You sold short. If you _wanted_ to help G and Mark _truely_ wanted to help Gthen you should void the deal (stupidity, unrepresented, etc..) and take another deal for the site, get _more_ money for G, and on…
You could continue to do what you enjoy ther most - blog.
You could use the site sale money to finance a lawyer to profit from Mark’s action — or could request part of the revenues finance that.
In any event, you should dump the deal. You are throwing away what you enjoy most and throwing away a lot of money.
P.S. Even though Mark has settled with you, he has _not_ settled with Marty. Marty holds the cards now.
A lawsuit cannot be dropped without the express consent of both side.
There are many offers to you that on the face would keep the drama going and keep cash in your pocket. Oh, and, we could all enjoy watching a few lawyer wannabees pwned.
P.S. BY the judge allowing you to come back and present evidence to refute Mark’s claims was a win for you…
Lawyer up.
July 13th, 2007 at 5:55 pm
159. OneWhoKnoas:
You got it. This one is far from over. Hmmm.. I wonder if Marty wants to transfer the rights of his contract? This could be fun.
July 13th, 2007 at 6:11 pm
I have been married for 22 years. I married young.
About 4 years into my marriage, my wife was at a party (we partied a bit in those days, we were young, but I just drank) and ended up using heroin. I didn’t know about it at the time. To make a long story short, she eventually became an addict.
She left home a number of times. We did an intervention where myself, her family and friends came to get her in treatment. She went to treatment for a month (leaving on the 28th day saying she was fine). Things were fine again for a couple months. She relapsed after that.
One day, sometime later, she was out again and was with a group of people and she fell asleep after using and wouldn’t wake up. They didn’t call the hospital or the police. I was home frantic that night because she didn’t come home when she said she was going to. I called the police, searched, couldn’t find her.
She did awake the next day but something had changed. She realized what she was doing to herself and her family. And she didn’t go to treatment but recovered after that. It wasn’t easy to say the least. I helped her. She’s now been sober for 16 years and we have 2 wonderful kids.
When you get married, you take a vow “for richer, for poorer, for better and for worse”. That is the promise you make.
It’s not “when times are good” or “when you have the potential for making a lot of money” or “only if you are healthy”
I found out what love was when my wife and I went through our issues. Love means a person leaves and you love them so much, you can’t let them go. You can’t help but let them back.
When you love someone, you can’t leave them. That is what love is.
Casey, right now you will find out who really loves you and who doesn’t. The people taking advantage of you don’t love you. The people abandoning you don’t love you.
The people who stick with you in the worst of times do love you. And nobody else.
Never forget that.
If your w*** loves you, she would let you back and try to get you back on your feet. If she doesn’t she will walk away. Don’t stay married to someone who doesn’t love you. Find someone who does. Life is too short.

I’m glad you got the lawsuit settled but as others have said, I think you made your decisions too quickly.

casey,
Not saying that you should, but if you want to continue… just start another blog… iamcaseyserin.com
Blog about you, not your foreclosures; that’s behind you and everyone now.
Every single one of your haterz, loverz, and admirerz will follow, and LMT and every other vulture, will be left with nothing.
If you are in business and you get screwed, the best thing to do is to leave and take your clients with you. You are the value. The “clients” will follow you.
July 13th, 2007 at 6:27 pm
There was no FBI phone call yesterday to Casey. Are you people that dumb? Mark made it up, because its great publicity for the Book that Mark now owns the rights to, and a great way for Casey to sail into the sunset and disappear.
You see the story was concocted, probably by Mark as part of this settlement. Had they said that Casey was paid a vsit by the FBI and called in for questioning, then that would be illegal and walking a fine line. So this way, its just an “annonymous” caller claiming to be an agent. In a year or 2 when someone on Caseys NEW blog asks him about that FBI call he will simply say “well I never heard anything from it, so maybe it was a hoax, its all sweet”
I also dont believe a blog bringing in 4k a month would be sold for 20k
I believe if sold it was sold for more, maybe some under the table money? why else sell it to someone HE kows, and not put it up for auction??? Who knows. I know one thing, I dont believe a word I read here, as its got a spin on it to create traffic and keep interests going.
July 13th, 2007 at 6:34 pm
I have one question to direct to Lossmitpro…
What qualifications do you hold to interpret the laws? You always state laws as if there are all iron clad. If this was truly the case we would not need lawyers or judges for that matter.
Why don’t you go on www.quatloos.com and talk your crap on those message boards? Oh yeah there they have real lawyers and judges posting comments on true cases. You would just get run off with all your know how. You remind me of another guy who thought he knew it all and quoted all the laws just like you do. He thought he could win against the big boys (in his case). Now he is in hiding. He found out what a court of law is really all about. He got a quick lesson on how the laws get interpretated in a real environment. It did not work to favor him. I will give you credit though, you only go after the easy marks. It makes it allot harder for people in Casey’s position to fight back.
July 13th, 2007 at 6:45 pm
Dude… I am listening to these talk casts and Duane and LossMitPro are not your friends. They are out to ruin your life. You should listen to what Duane is saying about you on the haters cast.
I can’t beleive you have given control of your story and your blog to these guys. They are going to smear your name using your own blog. There will be a book released on you making you look like a con artist and worse.
July 13th, 2007 at 7:04 pm
Good luck w/ everything Casey!

~~~
Res judicata? How does it apply? Did the court issue a judgment? Was this a consent judgment? Offer of judgment?
Or did you two settle and have the court dismiss the case?
July 13th, 2007 at 8:57 pm
It sounds to me like Casey was coerced into going along with this “deal”. Remember that no contract (verbal or written) will stand up if it was agreed to under duress. What Casey should have done was to hire a lawyer, go to trial and countersue this guy for expenses plus damages. Then when that was done, go to the California bar association and try to have him disbarred (assuming he really is a lawyer).
July 13th, 2007 at 8:58 pm
I feel like I’m on an IHUB penny stock scam board…
If this s*** is real then you’re being strong armed by a couple of weak a** clowns. Or maybe your just exposing them in your own way….maybe you knew that the public would easily see through those bottom feeding scum bags.
Dewayne and Mark are real tough guys online. Maybe we should give them a little ride out to the boondox if you know what I mean….See how tough “stuttering D” really is.
Hi Casey,
I just realized we are neighbors within blocks of each other…..
Except I may have stumbled upon your blog a little late.
I’m sorry to hear about all this…..
If you ever want to meet up for lunch I sent you an e-mail we need to talk.
Hi Casey,
Can you explain the $1,572.50 for LosMitPro? It doesn’t cost that much to file a suit. Folks over at EN have been asking him to explain how he justifies that much and he is dodging the question.
Can you detail why he wanted that much? Filing fee is about $330. Some paperwork and copies, but where did the rest go? They think he’s making a profit off of you. Did he explain to you where that all goes? I think he is screwing you.
Can you please post why that amount? Can losmitpro post and explain it?
July 13th, 2007 at 10:10 pm
What sane, ethical person would buy the rights to someone’s website when it’s obviously the person’s baby? Casey, Mark took serious advantage of you again. It’s how the game is played. One day, “I’ll rip his throat out” and the next day “encourage him!”.
If Mark were a real man, he’d give the site back and say “Casey, this is yours…I can’t in good faith buy this from you. It really is nothing without you”. But no…greed steps in and people will take take take. Unbelievable.
Mark definitely overpaid for the website. Once Casey’s out of the picture, traffic dies and it becomes a “what’s Casey doing now hater site”. There is no way to reinvent the site. People in foreclosure or in need of help have no money anyway. Mark is like the bottom seeking realtors who think there is one more morsel up-tick in the market to make a buck. That was also Casey’s problem…
Casey: The problem was not the blog it was how you conducted yourself on the blog that was the issue. Just getting a W2 job and thinking things change is not the answer. You could have turned the blog into something special - you were on the right path. You were helping people, entertaining people, making people laugh, sad, angry, and annoyed. Entertainers do that all the time, and sometimes their family suffers but the bottom line is they are just doing schtick. Your blog life and real life got mixed up as one in the same. It’s a shame because managed right, you could have had your marriage, your blog, and your happiness.
I can’t believe Duane and Mark would just bully through like that. It just goes to show they were attention w***** all along! Waiting to draw blood.
I hope your wife has a relationship with God too. If so, God will give her a heart of forgiveness. People like D & M think people can be bought & sold, G won’t have any of that. You guys will stay together - both of you believe in the institute of marriage. What you did was not “non-forgivable”…
Anyway, nuff said. I am a supporter - hope you find your way!
July 13th, 2007 at 10:23 pm
So, you are worse-off than when you started this blog ?
You have the potential to be successful, Casey.
Work hard and smart, have focus and passion, be ethical, respect others, quantify and manage risk … the rest will follow.
There are no shortcuts to success.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:42 pm
@166
That’s about right. Do clients stay in the shop or follow the hairdresser?
If your marriage is done, I suggest walking away, getting a job, and getting another blog.
You can work and have a blog at the same time. A lot of people do it. Most of us make no money, but you have developed a site with a lot of traffic in a short time.
Different site with a lot of traffic sounds like win-win to me.
Please don’t tell us you signed anything saying you would stay off the internet due to some crazy non-compete clause.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:50 pm
CASEY,
IT IS PARTICULARLY ILLEGAL AND UNSCRUPULOUS FOR A PARTY INVOLVED IN THE SETTLEMENT TO DISCOURAGE (LIKE LOSSMITTPRO HAS)YOU FROM OBTAINING AN ATTORNEY TO REPRESENT YOU IN THIS SETTLEMENT.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:54 pm
@ LossMit
Who are you kidding? You took the rights to his book, even though you may have agreed to share in revenues. It’s so hypocritical that you would sue Casey for profiting from his wrongful actions, and part of your settlement is for YOUR future profit for his wrongful actions.
Is that clear enough for you to understand??
July 13th, 2007 at 11:03 pm
I also highly suggest that you stop making attempts and deals that benefit your “significant other” UNTIL she is willing to stop consorting, conspiring, and accepting advice about your marriage from LossMittPro, Duane, and Rob.
These above mentioned people are VERY publicly and privately encouraging her to not only divorce you, but publicly berate you and betray you with private information.
The rewards of her “alienation of affection” are promises of her debts being payed off, Financial support, attorneys and a better life.
While it may be true that others would be better off without you, it is NOBODYS place to interfere in your marital business. Your first step at being a man is to STOP ALLOWING IT! Next you need to establish a plan and keep the communication lines open with your spouse. You work hard to plan & attain mutually acceptable goals and it all falls in line or it doesnt, but then at least you have taken a step to do the right thing!
July 13th, 2007 at 11:41 pm
Casey,
You will have a hard time getting a job because you were an entrepreneur. This is the ultimate turnoff to hiring managers and those worthless “human resources” people. (Please Google “why we hate HR” for details).
Why? Because they are looking for “obedient workers”.
You are going to be fully discriminated against. I hope you have something in the works for a W2 job. If you don’t believe me just pay close attention the fake smile on the hiring persons face when you tell them that you were an entrepreneur. Chances are that afterwards you will hear the words “We will call you”.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:43 am
Casey,
You wont be able to hold down a W2 job.
Remember how many times you made fun of W2 workers, doing mundane things, being a grunt worker. The reason you wont be able to keep a W2 job, is because we will find were you are working and call you to remind you of your own words and it will suck hard.
The moment a new shiny thing comes along, you will go for it. I am counting on it.
July 14th, 2007 at 1:46 am
wow… that’s some crazy stuff man!! Glad you’re seeing the light and making things right. Not always easy to do!
really hoping things with your family work out and the debt starts disappearing!
You have to follow your heart but what your wife is doing is a wrong. It is a much worse betrayal than your vacation to Oz. And do you want to spend your life with someone who doesn’t understand your most basic drive? All the best whatever you decide.
P.S. iamcaseyserin.com is a great idea.
I don’t know if this will go through….seems like the comments on this thread are heavily on the pro-Casey side…but both of you have to be new to this blog to make comments like this. It sounds like you really don’t know the history here.
ALM…the difference between your wife’s situation and Casey’s situation, other than the obvious, is that your wife never stopped respecting you and what you were trying to do for her. Look at Casey’s situation…you can’t say the same thing about his situation.
Teresa, Casey’s wife understands his basic drive. She was perfectly fine with it from the beginning. It was when Casey started ruining her credit, made continual promises that he couldn’t keep, and did all this stuff behind her back, that ruined it for her. That shows no respect.
You are not the only one LMP makes sick.
It looks like this is about to become a LossMittPro-Duane hater blog. If that happens then I will join the haterz!
July 14th, 2007 at 8:32 am
KC, lets look at the website valuation seriously, you have a lot of advertisers so there is no concentration which is a plus, but the content is you. Let’s start off with the risk free rate and the risk premium, I’m placing the risk premium high because I doubt all the advertisers will stay on, so 4k a month x 12 = 48k/ a 24% cap rate values the blog at 200,000. Selling it at 20k plus about 24k so 44k over the course of a year is stupid on your part, that is 75% off the approx. value, that is a hellava discount rate. Maybe you just wanted to sell it quickly. For those people quoting 5%, KC’s blog is not stable enough to support such a value esp with him leaving, stop thinking like him…
July 14th, 2007 at 9:01 am
Hey Casey,
Best of luck on you endeavors. A W2 job is probably the right decision for now. If nothing else you may learn some of the qualities I think are needed to do well on your own. Putting up with corporate BS will teach/test your patience. Being low man on the totem pole will teach you to be persistent especially if you want to get anything done in a large corporation. And finally perseverance, dealing with those who spend most of their day finger pointing and covering their a** . My two cents is to find a company this is successful (profitable) and you’ll get a better understanding of how to run your own business down the road.
July 14th, 2007 at 9:23 am
Casey - you’re making snap decisions in the heat of the moment. You know that that hasn’t worked out for you before. You’ll regret these decisions as soon as they’re beyond the point that you can’t take them back.
If you really want to change, you need to stop, think, and be methodical.
July 14th, 2007 at 9:40 am
Hey supporterz. The Caseyhaterz.com blog is NOT a hater blog, its really a casey blog. Most haterz are just fed up with casey and want to see him succeed at SOMETHIG. THere is a buncha supporterz over there.
LMP and Duane are catching hell over there, its a fun crowd and very civil. Check it out. WHen the plug is pulled here - that is where the NEWZ will be.
July 14th, 2007 at 10:17 am
Wow, I’m in shock. You let LMP completely own you. I hope you didn’t sign anything. He’s a bully and you were easy prey. Since its a “settlement”, I would back out of the deal ASAP and let him sue you. He’s a hack.
July 14th, 2007 at 11:12 am
I listened to the podcast and came to the conclusion LMP is a snake .
It would be worth the assualt charge just to kick his smarmy a** .
July 14th, 2007 at 11:15 am
These people are bullying you into making snap decisions.
July 14th, 2007 at 11:21 am
There is posting going on at your book site foreclosurecode.com. Why are you posting there, or is this from your publisher? Are you just baiting us more to increase your book sales? What is really going on?
Why don’t you let pink_lips hire you an attorney?
If Loss Mit wrote the settlement himself, without consulting an attorney, it may be unenforceable.
As I hinted before, you could have your cake and eat it too. You can keep - and even add to - your audience of train wreck watchers, while deflecting the worst of the haterz off yourself.
The key is to find other real estate train wreck stories, of which there are plenty, and convince them to talk to you about it. Basically, find 10 more guys like Jerome, or failed speculators & other “loosers”. Pay them for their time, if you have to.
ASW: looser
July 14th, 2007 at 11:48 am
Casey,
You’re a schmuck. Your poor work ethic, laziness and inability to follow through got you into this mess.
But you’re an even bigger schmuck for letting that d******** LossMitPro take advantage of you.
LossMitPro, you’re a piece of cow dung.
July 14th, 2007 at 11:52 am
Loss Mit T** is a complete loser. He intimidated Casey with his schiesty collection tactics. Someone could hire a PI and dig up some dirt on ole Loss mit t** , I wonder how he would like that? He would not be able to handle it. This is exactly what he did to Casey, he BULLIED him, be careful LMT, things have a way of coming back on you. I bet you are in a dark basemet somewhere (maybe your 95 yr old Mothers house) sitting in your chat chair with a neck that looks like a package of hot dogs, ya fat loser! Oh and about the caseyhaterz site, they will never have any good people posting as their stuff does not work. I entered my email and my DNA and I did it twice, no email confirmation. No it isnt my firewall or my stuff, it is their lame registration process. I guess to post you have to promise them your first born child. What nonsense.I gess it will remain the inner circle jerk.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:06 pm
LMP is a snake. Why he wants your rights to the book? Of course he wants money out of this. If I remmeber in your last podcast he was screaming at you and suddenly you are best buds? Somehting doesn’t make any sense in here. I am hope you are doing the right thing Casey.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:08 pm
Casey moved back to Russia now.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:19 pm
I told you what to do MONTHS ago, man. You shoulda listened! Now look what happened. Neener, neener, house on feener.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
You should have called Marty. No one is doing you any favors at this time by enabling you further. Yes, this means Duane and Mark. Time for you to be a man for once in your life.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:42 pm
Casey. I’m reading disturbing things regarding what’s currently going on with the sale of the blog.
I repeat: These people are pressuring you into snap decisions. You are not good at snap decisions. Do yourself a favor - back away. Politely tell him, no thanks.
Why do you think he’s willing to pay you $20,000 for it?
Because it’s worth more.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:46 pm
For those disgusted with lost-it-doh file compaints against him and his company for his abusive actions.
Right letters to the Sacramento FBI branch and let them know you think that these guys used the false threat of “inner knowledge” of an FBI investigation to either put pressure on Casey to settle/sell or to scare Marty off.
Something is not right about their stories and it certainly doesn’t match up to how the FBI handles investigations.
Who would like to see lossmitfool go to jail for unduely influencing Casey or Marty.
This will be posted at the other sites as well.
July 14th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
Casey’s betrayal of his wife was about her finances and his wife’s betrayal is about going outside the marriage and spilling her guts to his enemies. What Casey did was repairable, what she did is not.
July 14th, 2007 at 1:28 pm
Something does not seem right with the FBI calling.
I never heard anything like that being done. IF you ever see an FBI agent, it will be at your front door.
Casey not coming clean if he verified the FBI call or not has a lot of merit to this question and if everyone here is on it?
July 14th, 2007 at 1:29 pm
Casey
There is some real good advise being offered here. You should really look hard at it. You may have thought everyone hated you but in the end the truth seems to come out. It seems you have a lot more supporters and friends than you thought. I think that it is true that all these people coming and speaking out now on your behalf, just wanted to see you succeed. They wanted to see you put the hard work it takes and go against the odds and make your ambitions a reality. It is always the underdog that people like to root for. It is always the underdog that people want to see in victory. You are that underdog. I hope you look hard at all this and make the right decisions before it is too late.
As for your spouse, I have always lived by the rule family is family and business is business and the two shall never meet. That was your mistake that you made, you got your spouse involved in your business affairs. Had you not done that things may be different now. Given that though she should realize mistakes were made and you are trying to correct them. If she truly loves you she will understand and stand by you. If she doesn’t she won’t and it will best for you to divorce. I know you don’t want to see that, but how can anyone stay with someone who can not even give the basic needs in a relationship (love, respect, and support, through thick and thin for better or for worse, through good times and bad).
July 14th, 2007 at 1:41 pm
Casey’s betrayal of his wife was about her finances and his wife’s betrayal is about going outside the marriage and spilling her guts to his enemies. What Casey did was repairable, what she did is not.
She “spilled her guts” after her husband disappeared to Australia, giving her an hour’s notice, leaving her to face legal threats from his creditors. He said he’d “look into” a particularly urgent case and admitted ten days later that he did nothing. She had no idea when, or if, he was coming home, and also no idea about whether or not she faced legal proceedings as a result of Casey’s activities. The “enemies” had a plan that might actually be workable - at least in terms of keeping her out of jail. Casey offered nothing.
So what would you have done in her place? Are you really that blindly loyal to your significant other that you’d stick with them even if they behaved towards you the way Casey did?
July 14th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
“Casey’s betrayal of his wife was about her finances and his wife’s betrayal is about going outside the marriage and spilling her guts to his enemies. What Casey did was repairable, what she did is not.”
—————-
I vehemently disagree. Casey betrayed his wife about her finances, and also posted a bunch of public comments about their marriage, especially the blog post where he said “G***** thinks I’m a Compulsive Debtor!” Then Casey went to Australia giving his wife an hour’s notice. All of these things have been psychologically damaging to her psyche. You know that Casey wasn’t going to tell anyone that he left for Australia with that little notice. She wasn’t going to let Casey run her over with that kind of abuse and manipulation, and I applaud her for that.
A lot of people thought/think she may need therapy for all of this, because Casey has been a very manipulating person. I would have to agree. In other words, what Casey did to her may not be repairable.
July 14th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
First of all Casey, I am happy that you are trying to turn around and stopping your criminal ways.
I sure hope you succeed and turn your life around.
That being said, you all need to face the music, the destruction you soley created and the many people you ruined.
So I hope and pray that they throw the book at you, that you end up serving many rotten years in prison and that you pay hard, REALLY hard for all of the damage you have caused.
Once that damaged is paid off (if it can ever be paid off), 30, 50 years from now, I then hope you succeed.
Not a heater, not a supporter, but a realist wanting to make sure you now reap what you created.
Best of luck buddy and hope to see a picture of you going to Jail.
July 14th, 2007 at 2:43 pm
OMG was listening to Casey’s last talk cast. Annie is a lispy, cackling ,moron. Sharky is a geeky sounding southern geek that cant get a phone signal. ANd Ole Loss Mit T** is mr know it all (that canttalk about anything, as it is TOP SECRET!, Mr wannabe attorney) Holy crap!. What a bunch of freaking losers. They all sound like the kids that nobody would pick for their kickball team. Can you say GEEKS??? Pathetic bunch of mumbling muppets.
July 14th, 2007 at 2:47 pm
Casey, you were napping and missed Duane’s deadline, so the sale is off. Congratulations!
July 14th, 2007 at 3:05 pm
Casey, Duane is saying (on another site) that you went back on the deal, and it’s now off.
You’ve got to give us your side of the story, buddy!
July 14th, 2007 at 3:07 pm
@212. Pink_Lips
Have you listened to yourself on Talk Cast? You’re a 1000 x worse than everyone you just slammed. COMBINED.
Casey
Give us an update. Is the deal with LossMit and Duane still on? Have you called Marty yet and if so, how did that work out? Are you still optimistic about a reconciliation with your wife?
July 14th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
pink_lips: Did you check your spam filters on your e-mail client? If not, create a quick Hotmail account and use it. I had no problems with the registration process whatsoever.
Been reading up on the runaround you’ve been giving Duane– good job, Casey, reneging on another agreement. Sweet! Here’s a small tip to you: if you don’t want to make a deal right away, don’t make it. Tell the person you want time to “think it over” and then actually, you know, think it over before you commit to something. That way you don’t get buyer’s remorse after you’ve signed something on impulse.
Common sense– it’s organic!
LossMittPro,
Thanks for shutting this adolescent. Apparently, all it took was a little intimidatoin to get this kid to grow up.
Maybe he doesn’t deserve to go to prison after all.
All Big Fat Guys in prison hate you right now.
LOL!!!!
Casey, Stop approving comments for a minute and answer a few questions.
July 14th, 2007 at 3:30 pm
Word of the day Casey
DEADLINE
Main Entry: dead·line
Pronunciation: -”lIn
Function: noun
1 : a line drawn within or around a prison that a prisoner passes at the risk of being shot
2 a : a date or time before which something must be done b : the time after which copy is not accepted for a particular issue of a publication
- on deadline or under deadline : with the requirement of meeting a deadline
July 14th, 2007 at 3:48 pm
Why did you hang up on the Talk Cast?
Read the definition of “deadline” and tell us what that means to you.
July 14th, 2007 at 3:53 pm
So what would you have done in her place?
I would have taken advantage of the myriad of free confidencial services offered for financial, marital and spiritual services. She lives in California, for goodness sakes.
I would NEVER have done what she did and speak to my husband’s enemies. NEVER. It is an outrageous breach of trust that goes so beyond what Casey did. Sad that you don’t see that.
July 14th, 2007 at 4:10 pm
@221. Give_me_a_break
Give us all a break - G didn’t do anything to Casey, Casey did it to himself.
Casey needs to be bitched slapped into next week.
July 14th, 2007 at 4:13 pm
I would NEVER have done what she did and speak to my husband’s enemies.
But what if you sincerely believed (with overwhelming supporting evidence) that your husband was borderline insane, and that his “enemies” (from his point of view) were actually trying to help you? (Which, in this case, they genuinely were)
Incidentally, Casey’s just screwed her over yet again by backing out of a deal that was supposed to pay off her CC debts. You still rooting for him?
July 14th, 2007 at 4:14 pm
Casey,
Now that you guys are fighting again, tell us the REAL scoop on the FBI investigation and how you found out.
Was it in the judges chambers like lost mittens says or was it all a plan…Tell us the real deal, it may be your way out here.
Or is this all just a diversion.
Casey
Still waiting for your response to my question about the word “deadline”.
You had a deadline. If you really had a meeting to go to, you should have mentioned it to Duane BEFORE the deadline was up.
You didn’t
Rob @ 10:42 AM:
”lossmitpro, will be interesting to see what you do with the site.”
Actually, I have nothing to do with what the new domain owner does with this site. I do hope it helps people in foreclosure, however, as I know that was a noble aim of Casey’s that never got off the ground.
The best part Casey is you can use this quote against lost mittens when he brings up in court that he doesn’t want you to make any money off this site because of the fraud stuff.
California’s version of the son of sam law, has a provision for criminals that want to use their crime stories for nobel purposes such as helping others learn from their own mistakes.
Was there yet another haterz talkcast?
Pink lips is Casey’s most entertaining caller.
@ UCLA Attendee 4:21
FYI, nobel was the fellow who invented dynamite. With the proceeds from that, he set up an annual award fund.
Noble, to KC, is just a word in the dictionary.
At UCLA, don’t they have freshmen composition anymore? Don’t they teach that spelling counts?
LossMit*rd,
How much do you weigh? Do you really have a neck like a package of wieners? Are you single and living in your mother’s basement in the dark mumbling in front of your monitor?
Some of us are going to do a little “fbi” investigation of you —- to confirm some hunches about your “little problem” — and you know exactly what we’re talking about.
I’m listening to this: http://www.talkshoe.com/talksh.....amp;cmd=tc
Again, I’m late to the Casey Serin Saga but it sounds like there’s at least two middle-aged guys trying real hard to bully a third guy who is young enough to be their son into doing a deal he really doesn’t want to do.
Have I got this straight?
I appreciate the fact that Casey can be difficult to deal with in both business and personal matters, but the correct response then is to simply walk away.
We’re dealing with a crappy little domain here and not the sale of Google. It’s not worth this kind of exasperation. The only asset here is Casey himself and not the domain. So what’s the point in all the whining over Casey’s actions if he’s not cooperating enthusiastically with being fleeced? Can you blame him?
Walk away gents, just walk away from him. If Casey is indeed being flakey here, then two guys twice his age continuing to b**** and whine this much over his actions look even sillier.
Serious business people would have left long ago, since it’s not worth the hassle and moved onto to other deals. By the time you are 30–at the latest–you should have flake filters installed to screen out the time-wasters.
Man, everybody in this circus looks like a clown.
Peter,
You go man! Your takes are exactly right.
[Low Budget Sharks]
I’m amazed at these low-budget operators trying to move in on Casey’s small assets like vultures.
If they had anything really profitable going on in their lives they would move on to more legitimate endeavors, and stop circling Casey (and his wife) for chump change.
If there was truly big money to be made, then obviously they are taking advantage of Casey’s naivety, and inexperience. So they just look worse. If any of these shylocks had offered Casey a legitimate offer in the 100k range, then I might have sympathy for their positions. But 20k? Help me gawd, that’s advantage taking on a criminal level.
And these clown’s so-called “concern” for Casey’s wife is so blatantly disingenuous as to be laughable, if it weren’t so pathetic to observe.
Are any of us actually stupid enough to think these fat-heads have anything in mind except their own self interests? Of course we’re not that stupid.
Meantime, It’s sad to watch Casey trying to defend himself, “pro per”, against these low-budget sharks.
I’m confident that Casey will come out of this wiser, smarter, and with more confidence and enthusiasm than if none of this had ever happened. But he must get through this in order to become unstoppable in the future. This is the kind of crap that lots/most of the big-leaguer’s had to go through early on — whether self-inflicted, or like what Casey is experiencing now.
NOW - I know. After getting beat up a few times, I recognize the sharks from a farther distance away. Now I can confidently wait until they get stupidly close, and give them a nice, bloody, proactive poke in the schnoz.
Here’s for giving “low budget” sharks a nose bleed. It’s amazing how fast they swim away!
Casey remain confident, and stop flinching in sight of these middle aged shylocks.
Forgive your wife! Forgive yourself. Forgive the sharks! And forget the sharks, too!
I’m your wing man!
@145 LossMitPro::: Because it’s obvious that your manipulative and taking advantage of the situation. If you placed a poll on this site asking, “Is LossMitPro a manipulative a$$?” I would put money on it that 80% would say yes.
@231. Peter::: AMEN!!!
